Well, this is my first time doing the whole blog thing, crazy huh? Luckily it coincides with my attempt to get fit. I'm sure I'm going to open my self up to loads of abuse for being over weight etc, but really I just hope to inspire some other people to try and do it as well.

Let me take you back to 2001 when I was still a student regularly walking at least 4 miles a day, going to the gym, playing squash, and weighing in at a relatively slim 90kg, at least for a person my size, now fast forward to 2007, three years out of uni, doing a job where I sit about all day and don't really get a lot of exercise. Diet is fairly good, but it just isn't enough, and worryingly I am now the following person:

Weight: 125.7Kg / 19st 11lbs
Chest: 49"
Waist: 50"
Thighs: 28"

A far cry from the person I was! (I'm actually cheating a little, I've been to the gym a week before writing this)

So this is the start, I'm gonna do weekly updates, and we can track my progress, and if anyone wants to join in then thats great!
